What is an LVT?

LVT also known as Luxury Vinyl Tile, is a product that looks like real wood or stone, but is made up of a series of highly durable layers. The LVT is a great way of adding warmth to the home like carpet but with having the practicalities of a tile, requiring little maintenance. Perfect subfloors are required to remove imperfections, as the material is stuck all over.

What is a Laminate?

Laminates are a tongue and groove (click together system) made generally of wood with a laminated top layer. These are usually floating floors with a thin underlay underneath to reduce noise from contact with the ground. Expansion gaps are required around the edges so a scotia bead is to be installed (unless skirtings are to be installed after the Laminate.
